Searching for Inspiration

The sea fan composition started out as a simple still life photo

Inspiration for new patterns can come from anywhere.

We were photographing the scarves in my studio and we had a beautiful piece of coral - dried sea-fan as a prop. After the shoot
I processed the image, enlarged it, coloured and manipulated it in photoshop and combined it with an abstract image using various layer filters to change the colours, hues and contrast. Add to the image a glorious border in turquoise and lime green and VOILA! a new
favourite pattern is born.
